Happy Hour at ANGIES' at the Spanish Step

Angie's is born in the iconic Palazzo Mignanelli Gabrielli, a stone's throw from Piazza di Spagna, a quality fish restaurant that wants to offer its public a unique culinary experience in a place that represents a union between history and modernity.

Our frescoed room features original works of art from the 1700s, in a noble palace from the 1500s, where famous people such as Pope John XXIII studied.

A brief history

1500s:
The building in which we are located, Palazzo Mignanelli Gabrielli, was founded by the homonymous family in the 16th century. It was frescoed, as can be seen in our rooms, by a painter linked to the Church in 1700. It hosted famous people such as Massimo D'azeglio in 1814 and Pope John XXIII in 1950, and was the seat of renowned institutions such as the Banca Romana from 1834. to 1865, and the Directorate of the State Archives of Rome after the unification of Italy.

2022: On April 21, 2022, exactly 2775 years after the founding of Rome, Angie's was born. Two years to take care of every detail, from the furnishing of the rooms to the enhancement of the ancient frescoes, to the emotion of the lights.
