Report at the Touristation office next to the Archeological area Entrance of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. You will be welcomed by dedicated and multi-lingual staff that will provide you all the information to enjoy your stay in Rome.
Start your experience with a 25-minute Multimedia Video (produced by a company which has produced videos for Unesco, BBC and National Geographic) which graphically illustrates how Rome today was thousands of years ago in the times of the Roman Empire. Allow the Multimedia Video to take you back in time to Ancient Rome. You will appreciate this experience when later you walk through the ruins of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill and enter the magnificent Colosseum.
After the Multimedia Video, you will meet your expert licenced guide. You will be accompanied by your guide to the entrance of the Roman Forum to help your with the security and ticketing procedures. Once inside, your guide will tell you all the history, the secrets and the anecdotes about the Roman Forum Ruins where the ancient Roman Citizen used to live. Walk along the Via Sacra (Sacred Road) and immerse yourself in Roman history. The main path through the Roman Forum, the Sacred Road once sparkled with festivals and triumphal processions.
Second part of your experience: Roman Houses of Celio, a very flexible experience! Choose when you prefer to visit and book with your staff at the office! Explore the Roman Domus of Celio at your own pace, also known as the House of the Martyrs John and Paul and admire over four centuries of history and testify to the passage and coexistence between paganism and Christianity. The Roman Houses of Celio are a site of high artistic and religious value, where you can admire original frescoed environments of various sizes and extraordinarily preserved.
